This category of affiliation is designed to promote and provide incentives for promising scholars in the region. Research Associates, currently 69 in total, are promising young regional scholars holding a PhD in Economics or a related subject whom ERF assists in capacity building, through exposure to academic competition, peer review, training and mentoring.
Research associates are nominated by peers, screened by ERF's Advisory Committee and approved by the Board of Trustees . They are non-voting members of the ERF constituency. They can however progress to become Research Fellows when they have further experience and meet the criteria of that category. Click here for a full listing of Research Associates
