Become an ERF Affiliate Find out more > Access Online Services Username Password Register | Forgot Password Register For Publications Please enter your email:   |   Search ERF Advanced Search Annual Conference ERF 12th Annual Conference: Reform - Made to Last Cairo, Egypt 19 December 2005 - 21 December 2005 ERF 12th annual conference was held in Cairo under the title of “Institutionalizing Reform.” The conference was held from December 19th to 21st, 2005, preceded by two days of pre-conference activities. The conference proved a great success, with 30 papers presented and 31 more circulated as background that ranged across ERF’s five research themes: macroeconomy and governance; finance; trade; labor markets and human development; and sectoral issues. The first plenary session was entitled “Institutionalizing Reform.” Its aim was to build on previous ERF research to address the issue of the role of institutions in affecting economic and social change and making reform last.
